The first father-son pair to play together in 4 seasons!

A family duo from the Faroe Islands, Atli Gregersen (father) and Árni Atlason (son), set in 2025 a world record of all time among similar pairs for the number of seasons played together at the top level. 
The last season was already the fourth in which they performed together as team-mates, in the Faroe Islands top division for Víkingur Gøta.
The previous record was held by English pair Eastham, both named George, who played together in the Irish League for Ards for three seasons, from 1953-54 to 1955-56.
Eastham Sr., appointed as a player-manager, put his son in lineup for the very first game in charge; it was opening day of the 1953-54 season. Making a partnership on the left flank (father played at inside-left, while son at outside-left) the two Easthams celebrated a bright 5-3 home win over Portadown though Ards were 1-3 down with only 16 minutes left to play. 
Easthams’ partnership ended in 1956 when George Jr. returned to England being transferred to Newcastle. Ten years later, he became part of the 1966 World Cup-winning England squad.
As for the Faroese pair, 43-year old Atli and Árni, aged 20, also hold world records among father-son pairs for the number of total games played together (73) and for common games in major international club competitions (8).
The last time they appeared together for Víkingur on 24 August against EB/Streymur (1-1). After that, Árni left for Norway on loan to a second-division club. Now he is back home preparing for the new season with Vikingur, again alongside his father.
