OLDEST HAT TRICKS - DAYRO MORENO

Oldest hat-tricks in international club competitions

In 2025, Colombian Dayro Moreno (picture) got a historical achievement. His hat-trick in a Copa Sudamericana match for Once Caldas against San José (3-2) on 22 April became the oldest ever (at 39 years 218 days) not only in the competition but also in all major international club competitions worldwide.
Here we publish the ranking of oldest players to achieve such feat in any continental and global tournaments.
Moreno took the record from Pablo Escobar who scored 3 goals in a Copa Libertadores game in 2017 at the age of 38 years 227 days.
As seen from the table, Ferenc Puskás holds the records for oldest hat-trick in European club competitions and for oldest poker in international club competitions globally.
