As we have already mentioned, in this edition of the Copa Libertadores, for the first time in the history of the tournament at the semi-final stage, a team (Palmeiras), which lost the first leg by 3 goals, managed to overcome the deficit and emerge the winner of the tie.
The similar has happened at knock-out stages of the tournament 5 times before, three times in the round of 16 and twice in the quarter-finals.
