AFRICAN RECORD FOR AUBAMEYANG

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equaled African record in World Cup qualifying

In a dramatic 4-3 World Cup qualifying victory over Gambia on 10 October, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored all four of his Gabonese team's goals, equaling thus the competition record for most goals in a game in the African region.
This is the 6th four-goal haul in the history of World Cup qualifying in Africa. All six have taken place this century.
Aubameyang’s poker stands out among other similar individual feats.
First, it was achieved in a closely fought match (while all the others were in matches where one team crushed the other).
Second, after scoring four goals, “Auba” got also a red card.
Besides, it was Aubameyang's second hat-trick in African qualifiers. His first came against Niger on 15 June 2013. He became just the 3rd African player with two hat-tricks in World Cup qualifiers, after El Hadji Diouf (Senegal) and Mohamed Salah (Egypt).
