Akinfeev: 800 games for CSKA

Igor Akinfeev has played on 27 July his 800th official game for CSKA Moscow, in the Russian league vs Akhmat (2-1).
The 39-year old goalkeeper is now the only active player in the world who has 800+ top level appearances for same club still performing for this club. 
His colleague Fábio has amassed 883 top level games with Cruzeiro, but he left them in 2021.  
Akinfeev’s tally is made up of 598 games in the league, 55 in the national cup, 14 in other domestic cups and 133 in major European competitions. His career in CSKA begun in 2003.   
Akinfeev is the 13th player in the history with 800+ appearances for same club. Very soon, 14th is expected: Linfield’s midfielder and captain Jamie Mulgrew, also aged 39. Currently he has 798 games for the club.
Here we publish the all-time ranking of greatest stalwarts in the football history. The world record belongs by Rogério Ceni: 1197 games for São Paulo.
Another Northern Irish player follows him: a defender Noel Bailie (1013 games for Linfield), former Mulgrew’s team-mate. He is world record holder for outfield players.
Thomas Müller has just finished his 17-year long career in Bayern Munich at the mark of 756 games: the record for German players and 24th position in global ranking.
Atletico Madrid’s stalwart Koke is going to start his another season with “Colchoneros” having 684 games for the club. Very likely, he will reach 700 during the season.
