THE BIGGEST MARGIN IN HISTORY !
Biggest margin in European finals!
For the first time in history of major European competitions, a team (PSG) beat their opponent (Inter) in a single-game final with the 5-goal margin.
*The maximum margin in a European Cup/Champions League final before was 4 goals, repeated 4 times.
*The only other team, apart from PSG now, got a five-goal lead at any point in a European Cup final: Real Madrid in 1960 (they were 6-1 and 7-2 ahead against Eintracht Frankfurt, in a match that ended 7-3).
*Inter became the first team to concede 5 goals in a Champions League final; in the European Cup era, it has last happened in 1962 (Benfica vs Real Madrid 5-3).
*5 goals by Paris Saint-Germain in this Champions League final is 1 more than the first 7 French teams scored in their previous finals combined (3 for Reims, 1 for Marseille).
*Inter suffered their largest victory in an official competition since 11 May 2001 (0-6 in derby vs Milan in Serie A).
*For the first time, a team have scored 2 goals in the first 20 minutes of a Champions League final.
In European cup era it happened once in 1956, by another French team (Reims) that scored twice even inside the starting 10 minutes vs Real Madrid (and eventually lost 3-4).
