River Plate vs Independiente del Valle 6-2

*River Plate became the 2nd team to reach the Copa Libertadores Round of 16 in 25 editions, equaling Nacional's all-time record. 
Boca Juniors have 21 appearances in Round of 16 and occupy third place on the podium.

*The last 11 River’s qualifications have been consecutive. This is the second such run in the club history. The previous time was between 1995 and 2006, when they reached the stage 12 times in a row.

*Franco Armani (River Plate) became the joint-third player with the most appearances in Copa Libertadores history: 107, as many as Sergio Aquino. Leading the ranking are Fábio (110) and Ever Almeida (113).

*Miguel Borja (River Plate) becames the fourth-highest scorer (31 goals) in Copa Libertadores history, behind only Alberto Spencer (54), Fernando Morena (37) and Pedro Rocha (36).

Botafogo vs Estudiantes 3-2

*José Sosa became the oldest player (39 years 329 days) to start for Estudiantes in a Copa Libertadores match since Juan Sebastián Verón who did it at 42 years 77 days, also in a match against Botafogo.

Racing vs Colo Colo 4-0

*Racing advance from the Copa Libertadores group stage with a game in spare (after match-day 5) for the 5th consecutive time.

*Racing equalled their largest victory against a Chilean team in the competition, following the 4-0 win against Ñublense on 28 June 2023.
They have scored 3+ goals against Chilean opponents in 5 of the 6 home games in the CONMEBOL tournaments.

*Adrián Martínez became the 4th Racing player to score a first half brace in a Copa Libertadores match, after:
Norberto Raffo and Juan Rodríguez (both against Universitario in 1967),
Lautaro Martínez (against Cruzeiro in 2018).

São Paulo vs Libertad 1-1

*Lucca Marques became the youngest São Paulo goal scorer (17 years 334 days) in Copa Libertadores, surpassing Marquinhos (18 years 104 days).

*His goal saved for São Paulo their unbeaten streak in the competition which is 14-game long now.

Atlético Nacional vs Bahia 1-0

*Atlético Nacional have for the first time that won all 3 home matches in the same Copa Libertadores group stage (also 3-0 against Nacional and 3-1 against Internacional).

Peñarol vs Olimpia Asunción 3-2

*Peñarol has now gone 21 home matches in a row without losing in the Copa Libertadores: their longest-ever run in the competition. 
Their last home defeat was on 26 April 2017 (2-3 to Palmeiras after leading 2-0 at halftime).

*Now Peñarol themselves won after being two goals down. They did so in Copa Libertadores for the 4th time. The precedents are:
against River Plate on 20 May 1966, 
against Godoy Cruz on 19 April 2012, 
against Sporting Cristal on 19 April 2016. 

Vélez Sársfield vs San Antonio Bulo Bulo 3-0

*Vélez Sarsfield advanced from the group stage of the Copa Libertadores for the 10th consecutive edition. They haven't been eliminated at this stage since 2004.
