HAT TRICKS IN EXTRA TIME

Hat-tricks in extra time

One of the events of this month has gone unnoticed, but it is interesting and extremely rare in world football.
Brazilian Bruno Gomes (picture) scored a hat-trick in the extra time of the second leg of the Albanian Cup quarterfinals for Vllaznia Shkodër against Erzeni Shijak.
After 90 minutes his team led 2-1, mirroring the score of the first match. In the extra 30 minutes Vllaznia scored 4 unreplied goals. Bruno Gomes netted 3 of them. Curiously, they are his only goals for the team so far (in 13 appearances).
The table contains similar cases in the history of top-level cup competitions. The “score” column shows the score after the full match (120 minutes) and after normal time (90 minutes).
