SCORING STREAK FOR MITROVIC

Mitrović: 13-game domestic scoring streak!

The Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrović, who plays for Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), has scored in his 13 consecutive games in all domestic competitions.
His series, lasting from 20 October 2023 to 18 February 2024, is the longest such run in the top level world football since 2022.
Mitrović made his streak of 11 matches in the national league of Saudi Arabia and 2 in the national Cup. It’s details are in the table.
It was broken on 26 February when the striker failed to find the net in the league game vs Al Ettifaq (2-0).
The last player to achieve the similar streak was a Brazilian Bergson from Johor Darul Ta'zim (Malaysia): 16 consecutive scoring games in all domestic competitions between 23 July and 11 November 2022.
A bit earlier, between 26 September 2021 and 2 April 2022, a Bosnian Nemanja Bilbija has scored in 15 domestic games in a row.
Cristiano Ronaldo, a Mitrović league-mate, is close enough to his feat: his 9-game series for Al Nassr with goals in domestic competitions is going on.
It is worth also to note that Al Hilal, although their attacking star has tripped, continue a historical run of 24 wins in all competitions: longest ever in Asian football and one of longest in the world football in general (7 wins from the world record).
