Doha, Qatar

Jordan will take on the hosts Qatar in the AFC Asian Cup finals.

The Asian powerhouses like South korea, Japan and Saudi Arabia who were on fire during FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022, could not create the same waves. Jordan along with Iran and Iraq pulled up a brave fight to show their might at the Asian stage

Jordan jammers for the Koreans!

Jordan produced a sparkling performance in their AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ semi-final against Korea Republic.

Ranked 64 places below Korea Republic, the West Asian side took charge of the semi-final from the first blow of the referee's whistle to leave their opponents unable to make a mark at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.

New record

In qualifying for a first ever AFC Asian Cup final, Jordan also achieved a new personal best in the continental showpiece - winning three consecutive matches.

Leaking goals

This is the first time that Korea Republic have failed to keep a single clean sheet in an AFC Asian Cup tournament since 1996, having conceded in each of their six games in Qatar 2023. The 10 goals conceded is just one less than the 11 goals conceded in their last three participations combined from 2011 to 2019.

The Koreans are coached by the German World Cup winning legend Jurgen Klinsmann. Inspite of his huge experience, Koreans couldn't hold back Jordan onslaught and put up any counter attacking resilience.

Hosts March through in yet another thriller...

Qatar moved within one match of retaining their AFC Asian Cup™ title after emerging 3-2 victors against Islamic Republic of Iran in their Qatar 2023 semi-final at the Al Thumama Stadium.

Almoez Ali, the 2019 Most Valuable Player and top scorer, struck the winner eight minutes before the end in a thrilling last four tie which saw the Maroons snap a six-game losing run against Team Melli to set up a final meeting with Jordan.
