Debutante Tajikistan and gutsy Jordan aim to dash powerhouses of Asian football in the quarter finals of the AFC Asian Cup in Doha Qatar. 
Round of 16 was a very nerve racking affaire. Three out of eught games went on to the penalties and four games witnessed either very late second half injury time drama with equalizer or the winning goal. Red cards too being flashed quite a few times as tempered rose to the limits. 
Australia, though still looked little rusty ended Indonesian run. Japan cruised to a win with a clinical performance against Bahrain.
Qatar came better of Palestine 2-1 in a very hard-fought game. It wasn't a easy rollout for the hosts. 
South Koreans broke the Saudi hearts with the late equalizer in the injury time and then went on to win in the penalties. On the other hand Jordan's never say die attitude prevailed as they demolished Iraq challenge with two late last minute second half injury time goals!
Syria stretched Iran but couldn't get pass the goal enough in the penalties. 
Thailand, one of the striking performers from the group stage couldn't get better of Uzbekistan.
