Picture :"collective blackout" in Gladbach for Bayern !

FC Bayern München stop their great scoring series at 84 games!

On 27 October, Bayern München suffered 0-5 loss to Borussia Monchengladbach in the national cup (DFB-Pokal). An incredible score taking in attention that Bayern fielded their strongest lineup!
Such way Bayern ended their historical streak of 84 consecutive official matches with scoring. Last time they didn’t score were on 9 February 2020 (0-0 vs RB Leipzig).
It is 2nd longest such streak in the world football history (the ranking is below)!
Bayern fell short of the world record held by River Plate - 96 games in a row with goals from 13 September 1936 to 4 June 1939.
During this run, River had 72 victories, 13 draws, 11 losses, scoring 316 goals and conceding 132.
Over those 96 games, “Millonarios” scored 8 goals in 2; 6 goals in 4; 5 goals at 19; 4 in 14; 3 in 21; 2 in 26; 1 in 10.
Five players scored 82% of the goals (259 of 316): Moreno 78; Bernabe Ferreyra 59; Rongo, 46; Peucelle 41; Pedernera 35.
Jose Manuel Moreno, the leader of River Plate and probably the best player in the world of that time, played 91 of those 96 matches.
River's record ended in the derby against Boca, on 11 June, 1939, when they lost 0-2 at their old pitch “Alvear y Tagle”.

Back to Bayern, some more statistical remarks describing their disaster game.
*It is the worst defeat ever suffered by Bayern in a DFB-Pokal match.

*Bayern had not lost an official match by 5+ goals difference since 9 December 1978 (1-7 vs Fortuna Düsseldorf in Bundesliga)
