It was a difficult choice between Pernille Harder, Wendie Renard and Lucy Bronze to crown the IFFHS World’s Best Woman Player of the Year 2020 ! A few points more gave the first WOMAN WORLD PLAYER of the Year by IFFHS to Pernille Harder.

 

Pernille Harder's 2020 was almost perfect. The 28-year-old won the Bundesliga and German Cup with Wolfsburg. A fantastic double that become a poker, because in all four seasons with the same team, the Danish striker won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal. 

In 2019-20 she scored 27 Bundesliga goal and 38 in all competitions. For Pernille it's a incredibile record, the first time in her career. She became the first foreigner to win the Women's Footballer of Year award in Germany. She also played the UEFA Women's Champions League final in 2020, losing with Lyon. Harder hit eight goals in Denmark's 2021 Euro qualifying campaing, ended by the qualification to final tournament. On 1 September 2020, Pernille Harder signed for Chelsea on a three-year contract for a world record fee for a female footballer. It's another record for Pernille Harder. On 13 September, she scored the first goal for Chelsea against Bristol City. She won the UEFA Women's Player of the Year Award in 2018 and 2020, becoming the first player to receive the prize for the second time.
