KYLIAN MBAPPE ON PODIUMS

Mbappe’s hat-trick on two UCL podiums

Ahead of match-day 6 of the Champions League, it's worth recalling Kylian Mbappé's remarkable achievement from last match-day.
The first three of his four goals for Real Madrid against Olympiacos formed a hat-trick that earned a spot on the tournament's all-time podium in two categories: for the fastest and for the earliest triplets.

*This Mbappé's hat-trick was scored in space of just 6 minutes and 42 seconds: the second shortest such span in Champions League history, surpassed only by Mohamed Salah's hat-trick against Rangers in 2022 (in 6 minutes and 13 seconds).

*At the same time, Mbappé's hat-trick, completed in 28 minutes and 19 seconds since kick-off, became the third-earliest by any player in Champions League history, after Marco Simone’s for Milan vs Rosenborg in 1996 and Robert Lewandowski’s for Bayern Munich vs Red Bull Salzburg in 2022.
Details are in the tables.

*Last Real Madrid player, before Mbappe, to score 3 goals in space of less than 7 minutes in an official match was Karim Benzema, against Valladolid in 2023 (his hat-trick spanned 6 minutes and 30 seconds).

*Last Real Madrid player to score 3 goals in the first 30 minutes of an official match was Cristiano Ronaldo, against Espanyol in 2015 (19 minutes and 27 seconds since kick-off).
