NEW RECORD FOR HARRY KANE
Another penalty record for Kane
Harry Kane has scored yesterday vs Hoffenheim (4-1) another 2 penalties for Bayern (that completed his hat-trick).
Thus, he became the new Bundesliga’s record holder for most penalties taken (and converted) among players with 100 percent rate at this procedure.
Kane converted 17 out of 17, one more than Hans-Joachim Abel who featured in Bundesliga between 1973 and 1983 and converted all 16 of his 16 attempts.
Obviously, this record belongs to Kane only while he keeps the perfect conversion. Once he concedes the first missing, he will lose the record, and it will come back to Abel.
In all competitions, the English striker scored for Bayern 26 out 27 penalty kicks. His only fail, occurred on 27 August of this year in a Cup game vs Wehen, has broken his series of 31 consecutive spot kicks converted in all official games for clubs and country, that was the world’s longest of this kind in XXI century.
