*Of total 18 Gold Cup finals, this forthcoming will be the 7th between the United States and Mexico.

USA vs Guatemala 2-1

*Guatemala’s third place is the highest finish in their Gold Cup history.

*Guatemala have never beaten the United States away: 1 draw (in a friendly in 2007) and 15 losses in 16 matches.

*Diego Luna (USA) is the 2nd ever player to score a brace in the first 15 minutes of a Gold Cup knockout phase match. 
The first was his countryman Brian McBride against El Salvador in the 2002 quarterfinals.

*Luna’s first of two goals became the United States' 200th Gold Cup goal. 
This is the second national team to reach this milestone, after Mexico.

*This Diego Luna's goal, scored at 3 minutes 14 seconds, became also the second-earliest goal scored in a Gold Cup semifinal, behind only Henry Martin's goal for Mexico against Jamaica in 2023 (at 1 minute 21 seconds).

*Olger Escobar (Guatemala) is the second-youngest player (18 years 294 days old) to score a goal in a Gold Cup knockout match, behind only Brazilian Diego Ribas, who scored in the 2003 semifinals against the United States at 18 years, 145 days.

*Honduras haven't beaten Mexico in a Gold Cup for 18 years.

*Mexico have won a Gold Cup semifinal in 12 of 15 occasions, advancing in each of the last 4 editions.

*Javier Aguirre became the 2nd coach that led Mexico to multiple Gold Cup finals (also in 2009).
The first such coach is Gerardo Martino (2019, 2021).

*Raúl Jiménez has scored his 42nd goal for Mexico. He is the 3rd best goal-scorer in the history of the national team, behind Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez (52) and Jared Borgetti (46).

*Gilberto Mora became the youngest player (16 years 261 days) to provide an assist in the history of the Gold Cup.

*Mora became also the youngest player to play in a Gold Cup semifinal. He surpasses Jamaican Dujuan Richards, who played  6 minutes against Mexico in the 2023 edition at 17 years, 244 days.

*In the entire history of Gold Cup, there was only one player younger than Mora: Alphonso Davies who debutted for Canada in 2017 at 16 years 247 days.
Mora’s debut with Mexico in this editions was at the age of 16 years 257 days).
