Brightest set of Clasicos

The greatest club rivalry in the world football, Real Madrid vs Barcelona, consisted this season of 4 very spectacular and prolific matches.
In all 4, Barcelona ended as the winning side: 4-0 away in La Liga on 26 October, 5-2 in Super Cup on 12 January, 3-2 in Cup final on 26 April, 4-3 at home on 11 May.
These big battles have brought many records and other interesting achievements, especially the last one.

*It was already 18th consecutive Clasico (in all competitions) without a draw: the largest such series in the history of the rivalry.
Before that, Real Madrid and Barcelona have gone 17 consecutive games without a draw (between 1960 and 1967).
They have drawn last time in 2019.

*For Carlo Ancelotti personally, the streak without a draw in Clasico is even longer - 20 games (9 wins, 11 losses), totalling his two spells with Real Madrid.

*Ancelotti leaves Real Madrid as the first coach of the club to suffer 4 defeats in 4 matches against the same opponent in a single season.
He is also the first coach with 4 consecutive defeats in El Clásico.
His 20 Clasicos is the third tally among coaches, after Miguel Muñoz (36, with Real Madrid) and Johan Cruyff (25, with Barcelona).

*On the other hand, Hansi Flick is the 2nd coach to win his first 4 Clásicos. The first was Pep Guardiola, who won even his first 5.

*Ferran Torres became the first ever player with 3 assists in the first half in the history of El Clásico.
He is also the first player with 3 assists in a Clásico since Xavi provided 4 in the Barcelons’s 6-2 win in 2009.

*Raphinha has been involved in 7 goals in 4 matches against Real Madrid this season (5 goals and 2 assists).
Only Leo Messi (8 goal involvements in 2011-12) has recorded more for Barcelona in El Clásico within a single season in XXI century.

*Only one Barcelona player in the history of El Clasico has scored more than Raphinha (5) to Real Madrid in a single season, and this happened almost 100 years ago: Josep Samitier en 1925-26 (6 goals).
Three other players has scored 5 goals: Vicente Martínez in 1915-16, Lionel Messi in 2012-13 and Luis Suárez in 2018-19.

*Barcelona have scored 16 goals in their 4 games vs Real Madrid this season in all competitions: much more than any other team ever in a single season.
The next are: Espanyol (13 goals) in 1929-30, Barcelona (13) in 2011-12, Atlético Madrid (12) in 2014-15.

*In the last Clasico, 6 goals have been scored before the break (4-2). Only one match of this rivalry in the history saw more goals (8) in the first half: on 13 June 1943 (8-0 for Real Madrid, the final score 11-1).
Other two Clásicos with 6+ goals in the first half:
on 3 February 1935 (5-1 for Real Madrid, ended 8-2),
on 10 January 1943 (4-2 for Barcelona, ended 5-5).

*Barça have scored 4 goals in the first half against Real Madrid in La Liga for just the 2nd time, after above mentioned game of 10 January 1943.

*Real Madrid hadn't conceded 4+ goals before halftime in a league match since 16 May 2006, against Sevilla (2-4, ended 3-4).

*Barcelona won 4 Clasicos in the same season for the 2nd time, after 1982-83 (out of 5 games).

*For the first time in 123 years of Clasico history, a team (Real Madrid) got a two-goal lead in the first half and was losing at halftime.

*For the third time in Clasico history, a side won the match after being down by 2 goals, after:
3-2 Real Madrid away win in January 1950 (were down 0-2),
4-2 Barcelona away win in June 1959 (were down 0-2).

*Barça achieved their 4th super comeback this season (that is, won a game from being 2 goals down), after: .
5-4 win vs Benfica (Champions League),
4-2 win vs Atlético Madrid (La Liga),
4-3 win vs Celta (La Liga).
In general, they have 11 such super comebacks in the XXI century.

*With just few La Liga rounds left, Robert Lewandowski missed a rare chance to complete the 2024-25 season as the league’s top scorer from the very first match-day to the final.
Kylian Mbappé, thanks to his hat-trick, overtook the lead from Lewandowski in the 35th round.
Hence, Hugo Sánchez remains the only player in La Liga history to be the top scorers’ leader after every single round (in 1987-88 with Real Madrid).

*Mbappé’s hat-trick was the 10th Real Madrid's hat-trick against Barcelona in La Liga (they are listed in the table).
