Géza Túri, the oldest top-level player in 2023

The Hungarian goalkeeper Géza Túri leads the ranking of the oldest footballers in the world to play in the top tiers of the national championships in 2023.
Túri, a goalkeepers’ coach of KÍ Klaksvík, had to wear gloves on 14 May against HB Tórshavn at the age of 49 years 64 days due to sickness of both full-time keepers.
It was his only appearance over the year, and he ended it with a clean sheet (KÍ won 1-0).
