SIR BOBBY CHARLTON PASSED AWAY

Former England international Sir Bobby Charlton, who is one of the IFFHS LEGEND Players, has passed away at the age of 86. Charlton, who had an incredible career as a footballer, not only won the World Cup in 1966 as well as Manchester United’s first ever European Cup in 1968.

The extraordinary playing career of Charlton drew to a close over 50 years ago when he made his final competitive appearance for the Reds in a 1-0 defeat against Chelsea. It was his 758th appearance for the club, a club record and he will be for long time one of the greatest icons. The football World remember his achievements, Bobby Charlton brought class and dignity to the Theatre of Dreams as Player and then as Executive Member. Bobby Charlton’s death will be moored by fans and all the football World community.
