Stephanie Frappart will referee Friday's international friendly between England and Australia, becoming the first female official to oversee a men's international match at Wembley.
Frenchwoman Frappart became already the first woman to referee a men's World Cup fixture during Qatar 2022 when she took charge of Germany's 4-2 victory overr Costa Rica.
The 39-year-old has been a trailblazer for female referees in the World, being the FIRST to take in charge of men's Ligue 2 and Ligue 1 fixtures in France, as well as being the first woman to officiate in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.
Last month, she received her fourth Award of IFFHS Women’s World Best Referee 2022, winning already in 2019, 2020 and 2021 !
