Ivan Provedel, 2nd keeper to score open play goal in UCL!

Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel became in the game vs Atlético Madrid (1-1) just the second goalkeeper in the history of the Champions League (since 1992) who managed to score from open play, after Sinan Bolat (Standard Liège, 2009) who also did it by head like Provedel.

*The last goalkeeper overall to score in the Champions League was Vincent Enyeama (Hapoel Tel Aviv, on 29 September 2010) who did it from penalty score.

*In total, the Provedel’s goal is the 6th goal in UCL history scored by goalkeeper. The half of this amount (3) were produced by Hans-Jörg Butt, all form penalties, all for different teams and all against the same opposition (Juventus).
All such goals are collected in the table below (penalty goals are marked in blue, open play goals in red).

*Ivan Provedel is the second goalkeeper to score a goal against Atlético Madrid in the European Cup (since 1955). The first was the Yugoslavian Ilija Pantelic; penalty goal for Vojvodina in the game on 16 November 1966 in Novi Sad (Vojvodina won 3-1).
