All-time best top division goal-scorers: Cyprus (Part 31) 

Now we publish the list of best goal-scorers of the Cypriot top division since its foundation in 1934.
Sotiris Kaiafas, greatest striker in the league history, dominates the ranking with 261 goals scored in 388 games for Omonia between 1967 and 1984.
Kaiafas is still the only player to reach the 200-goal milestone. The one who was close to make a company for him, Rainer Rauffmann (he took the name Marcos on Cyprus), unfortunately got a serious injury that forced him to retire at 192 goals. He was then already 36-year old, but given that he had come in Cypriot league at the age of 30, he could have easily scored a lot of goals more.
So, amazing career of Rauffmann in this league lasted only 6 years and 153 matches. Extremely prolific, he achieved a goal-scoring coefficient 1.25, much bigger than anyone else.
Eight players have scored 150 and more goals; all are retired, all Cypriots by nationality though two of them the naturalized foreigners (Rauffmann from Germany, Siniša Gogić from Yugoslavia).
Half of players from the list, including the entire podium, have spent their Cypriot league career in a single team.
