Arsenio Erico is the record holder among goal-scorers of Argentine league since its starting date in 1891. He amassed 295 goals in 332 games between 1934 and 1947; all of them for the same club Independiente.
Ángel Labruna ended his career in 1959, stopping just one step away from Erico.
The mark of 200 goals is achieved by 14 players, 150 goals by 35 players; they are listed in the table, with Diego Maradona taking just 35th position in historical ranking. 
There are only 2 foreign players among those 35; both are Paraguayans, including the record holder Erico; another one is Delfín Benítez Cáceres (ranked 16th).
José Sand is the only active player in the list.
