Jesús Ferreira, joint second one-edition scorer in Gold Cup history

The USA striker Jesús Ferreira has finished his performance at 2023 Gold Cup with 7 goals and will likely be crowned as the tournament’s best scorer.
He has also equaled his national team record on goals in a single Gold Cup edition:  Clint Dempsey also netted 7 times in 2015.
In the historical ranking of the competition, Ferreira takes now joint second place along with Dempsey and Javier “Chicharito” Hernández who scored 7 in 2011.
The most prolific at a single edition remains a Mexican Luís Roberto Alves “Zague”: 11 goals in 1993.
